75+ TEACHING BOOKLETS
Why Our Bible College Study Units and Progressive Release Program Are Separate
At Crossroads International Bible College, we desire every student to grow in a clear, balanced and orderly way in the Word of God.
For this reason, our Bible College study units and our wider teaching booklet library are kept as two separate pathways.
Our Bible College courses are designed as structured study programs. Each student is encouraged to focus carefully on the particular study unit they are working through, answer the required questions, and build line upon line in the truth being taught. This helps students remain focused and gives proper attention to the subject before them.
Crossroads also has a large library of teaching booklets covering many areas of Christian doctrine, spiritual growth, discipleship, church life and ministry. Because these booklets cover a wide range of subjects, we do not automatically give Bible College students access to the whole library at once.
This is not because we want to restrict spiritual growth, but because we want to encourage it in the right order.
When too much material is given at one time, especially across many different doctrines and subjects, it can sometimes distract students from the study unit they are currently completing. It may also cause some to jump ahead into subjects that are better understood after stronger foundations have first been established.
Therefore, the Bible College course pathway remains focused on the enrolled study units, while the wider booklet library is offered through a separate pathway called the Crossroads Progressive Release Program.
The Crossroads Progressive Release Program
The Progressive Release Program is an optional discipleship pathway for those who desire continued Christian growth beyond their current Bible College study.
Instead of receiving access to the full booklet library all at once, participants receive selected teaching booklets in an orderly and progressive way. This allows each person to grow steadily, prayerfully and with proper understanding.
The program is designed to release a group of teaching booklets every six months. This gives time for reading, reflection, prayer, personal growth and application.
The purpose is not merely to collect teaching material, but to allow the truth of God’s Word to be received, understood and lived out.
Our Reasoning
We believe spiritual growth is best nurtured through order, focus and faithfulness.
A student who is studying salvation, water baptism, communion, prayer, healing or the Holy Spirit should be encouraged to give proper attention to that area of truth. At the right time, further teaching can then be added to strengthen and broaden their understanding.
In this way, students are not overwhelmed, distracted or drawn away from their present study. Instead, they are given a clear pathway for both formal Bible College study and ongoing personal discipleship.
The Bible College study units provide structured learning.
The Progressive Release Program provides wider ongoing Christian growth.
Both are valuable, but they serve different purposes.
Who Can Apply?
Bible College students who desire further teaching and ongoing discipleship may apply to join the Crossroads Progressive Release Program.
This program is especially helpful for those who want to continue growing in the Word of God over time, while receiving teaching material in a balanced and manageable way.
Our heart is to see believers not only complete studies, but become established, strengthened and fruitful in their walk with Christ.
Summary
Crossroads International Bible College does not automatically provide students with access to all 75+ teaching booklets at once.
Instead, students are encouraged to remain focused on their enrolled study units, while those who desire additional discipleship may join the Progressive Release Program.
This allows for:
-
Clearer focus in Bible College studies
-
Less distraction from the current study unit
-
Better spiritual order and progression
-
Steady growth over time
-
A more balanced approach to doctrine and discipleship
Our desire is to help every student grow in truth, maturity and faithfulness, according to the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
I would probably place this on the website under a heading like “Bible College Studies and the Progressive Release Program” or “Why We Release Teaching Material Progressively.”
Yes. This should be written as a strategy statement so students understand the change positively, not as something being taken away.
A Change in Our Student Teaching Strategy
Crossroads International Bible College is continually seeking to strengthen the way we serve, teach and disciple our students.
After careful consideration, we have made an important adjustment to our student teaching strategy.
Rather than giving Bible College students open access to the full library of 75+ teaching booklets at once, we have chosen to keep the student study pathway focused on the particular course units in which each student is enrolled.
This change has been made for the spiritual benefit of the student.
Our Bible College courses are designed to be studied in an orderly way. Each study unit has a specific purpose, a clear teaching focus, and questions that are connected to that material. We want students to give proper attention to the truth being taught in each unit, rather than being distracted by a large number of other subjects at the same time.
The wider Crossroads teaching booklet library covers many areas of doctrine, Christian growth, church life, ministry, discipleship and spiritual understanding. While this material is valuable, it can also be a lot for a student to receive all at once.
We believe students are helped best when truth is received progressively, with time to read, understand, pray, reflect and apply what has been taught.
For this reason, the Bible College study pathway and the wider teaching booklet library will now operate as two separate but related pathways.
The Bible College Study Pathway
The Bible College study pathway will remain focused on the student’s enrolled studies.
Students will continue to work through their assigned study units, complete the required questions, and progress through the course in a clear and structured manner.
This helps maintain:
-
Focus
-
Order
-
Clarity
-
Accountability
-
Proper understanding of each subject
-
Faithfulness to the study material
The purpose of this pathway is structured Bible College learning.
The Progressive Release Program
For students who desire additional teaching and ongoing Christian growth, Crossroads will also offer the Progressive Release Program.
This program will provide access to selected teaching booklets in an ordered and progressive way, rather than all at once.
The Progressive Release Program is designed to release a set of teaching booklets every six months, allowing students and believers to grow steadily over time.
This pathway is especially suited for those who desire broader discipleship, deeper personal growth, and continued development in the Word of God beyond their current Bible College study.
The purpose of this pathway is ongoing Christian discipleship and spiritual growth.
Why We Are Making This Change
This change is not about withholding teaching from students.
It is about releasing teaching wisely.
We do not want students to be overwhelmed by too much material at once. We also do not want them to become distracted from the study unit they are currently completing.
Some doctrines are best understood after proper foundations have already been established. When students move too quickly across many different subjects, it can sometimes create confusion or reduce the depth of learning.
Our desire is for students to grow strongly, not hurriedly.
We believe that a focused and progressive approach will better serve the long-term spiritual development of each student.
Our New Strategy in Summary
Our student teaching strategy will now follow this pattern:
Bible College students will focus on their enrolled course units.
The wider 75+ teaching booklet library will not be automatically opened to every student at once.
Students who desire further teaching may apply for or join the Crossroads Progressive Release Program.
Teaching booklets will be released progressively and in order.
This allows students to grow steadily, with less distraction and greater spiritual clarity.
Our Heart for Students
Our desire is to see every student established in the Word of God, grounded in sound doctrine, and growing in a faithful walk with Christ.
We believe this adjusted strategy will help students remain focused in their studies while also providing a clear pathway for further growth.
The Bible College study pathway provides structured learning.
The Progressive Release Program provides ongoing discipleship.
Together, these pathways help students grow in truth, maturity and spiritual stability.
